CHRIS’S BACK… Goodwood and Italy ERC return awaits the team

Following a two-month recovery period since his withdrawal from Rally Islas Canarias in May due to illness, 11 Degrees rally driver Chris Ingram has been given the all-clear by doctors to get back behind the wheel of Toksport‘s Skoda Fabia R5.

Chris won on his four-wheel-drive rally debut

To get back-on-track from their debut victory in the ERC Under 28’s championship in the Azores, the team will compete in a triple-header of events starting with next week’s Rally Casantino (July 6/7) in Italy as a test in preparation for the next round of the FIA European Rally Championship – Rally di Roma Capitale, starting on the 20th July in Rome’s historic city centre. Chris (23, Manchester) will be joined by his usual co-driver Ross Whittock (27, Bath) who helped Chris win the European Rally Championship’s Under 27 driver’s title last season with Opel Motorsport.

The team are delighted to have received an invite to drive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, making their UK debut with the 11 Degrees stealth Fabia R5, which takes place in-between the two Italian tarmac rallies on the 13/14th July. Goodwood’s Festival of Speed is an iconic Motoring event attended by some of the world’s biggest stars, and the best drivers in the world who compete infront of a sell-out crowd of 150,000 specatators every year. Chris will compete on the rally stage against the likes of current World Rally Champion Sebastien Ogier.

Chris commented “It has been an incredibly challenging and frustrating time personally and I am very grateful to the entire team including my partners 11 Degrees, Andrews Sykes, CarFinance 247 and Express Solicitors, for their support. I have been focusing on doing as much mental preparation as possible for our return to the ERC in Rome and I can’t wait to resume with the fantastic Toksport team at next week’s Italian test. We are also really looking forward to driving the Skoda Fabia R5 on UK soil at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed which is most definitely a highlight of the World’s motorsport calendar.’
